What educators are saying

This is a great resource to keep the students engaged and continue learning about the topic. Great supplement activity.
My students loved using this resource! We had a Dinosaur Day at the EOY and we went to the field and measured away! Every student was engaged!

Description

Included in Dinosaur Measuring Palooza are five, super cute dinosaur measuring activities featuring T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and more! Your kiddos will be using both standard and non-standard measurement, as well as exploring Area and Perimeter! For a better look at what's included, just click on PREVIEW. The measuring activities included in this set are...

Dino-Mite Dinosaur Measuring:

Students will be using both standard and non-standard units to measure each dinosaur picture.

What's In The Nest? Area and Perimeter:

Students will use the provided dinosaur eggs (or you can use buttons) to measure the area and perimeter of each dinosaur nest.

Dinosaur Track Measuring Tape:

Students will color, cut out and glue together a dinosaur track measuring tape. They will then use it to measure items of their choice around the room - Super Fun!

How Many T-Rexes Tall Are You?:

With the help of a friend, students will measure how many T-Rexes tall they are. This is a great display to place in the hallway... kids all around the school will be using it to see how they measure up! Students will then record it on a recording page and draw a picture of themselves to match. These pages, along with the provided book cover, make an adorable class book!

Dino-MITE Measuring Page with Attached Ruler:

This is a printable activity with a ruler printed at the bottom of the page. Students cut off the ruler and use it to measure different parts of the picture. Students are asked to measure to the nearest half-inch.
