What educators are saying

This was a great resource to assess my students listening skills when it comes to speeches. I will definetly be using this resource for years to come.
One of my favorite things to use with my students - they responded really well to it and it aligned perfectly with my standards!

Description

In this Dust Bowl and Franklin Roosevelt primary source analysis lesson, students listen to a fireside chat speech that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave in regard to his experiences in the Dust Bowl states during the 1930s. This is a great chance for students to understand the impact of two important pieces of American history: Fireside Chats and the Dust Bowl. At the same time, students practice great listening and analytical skills by breaking down the audio, as well as the written text, of a famous fireside chat.
