This is a student-centered project on the layers of Earth's atmosphere. This is a class favorite every year and the BEST way to learn the layers of the atmosphere! Here is how it works...
►Break class into 5 groups (or 10, if you want 2 atmospheres)
►Assign each group ONE layer of Earth's atmosphere
►Provided handout gives a list of characteristics of each layer of Earth's atmosphere
►Students work in their group to create their layer of Earth's atmosphere - but there's a catch!
►Each fact MUST be represented by a symbol or picture ONLY
►When layers are complete, each group presents their layer and explains the meaning of each picture or symbol
►As they present, the rest of the class draws each symbol/ picture in their foldable (provided in the download)
