Product Description: This 10 question pixel art activity covers the Pythagorean Theorem. The first two questions contain simple problems given the triangle. The remaining 8 questions are word problems where the students will need to draw their own triangle with the last two problems being slightly more challenging! Answers are either whole numbers or rounded to the tenths place. Students will work all 10 problems, then submit their answers for instant feedback! The problems in the excel file are screenshots to ensure students cannot manipulate the problems. This purchase comes with a link to the editable problems & answer key.

Objective: Students will solve for a missing side of a right triangle given a real-world scenario using the Pythagorean Theorem.

Excel Student Instructions: Students will work all 10 problems on the Problems tab and then input their answers on the Image tab. Students will enter their answers as a rounded number with one decimal place or a whole number without a decimal. As students enter correct answers, that cell will turn green and part of the mystery image will appear. If they enter an incorrect answer, the cell will stay red. They will need to go back and review the problem they missed and try again. Students have completed the assignment when all 10 answer cells are green and the full mystery picture has appeared.

Excel Teacher Instructions: Assignment is ready to assign to your students and comes with an answer key for you! If you wish to edit any questions before sending the assignment to your students, instructions are included in the resource on how to change the questions and answer key!
