What educators are saying

Excellent resource for an elementary library curriculum, which we so desparately needed. It was everything I envisioned and has been very engaging for the students in K-5 at our school.
I absolutely love this! I keep buying more bundles as I progress through my first year. This resource works well with my students and gives me direction in my library lessons. I can't say enough nice things about this resource!

Description

K-5 Library Lessons (Weeks 3-9)

After receiving such a positive response to my free Week 1 Library Lesson Plans, I am excited to offer this new bundle!

I know that it is impossible to design lesson plans that will fit everyone’s needs. As media specialists/librarians/library teachers, etc. we all have different schedules and student populations. Some of us are lucky to have lots of technology available to us to use during our classes and others have next to nothing. I hope these lessons will work for you!

Please download and carefully read the PREVIEW! It has important information about this bundle, including books and paid resources from my store that I use in these lessons.

Lessons are in PDF and editable Word format and support school library and technology standards.

A small group of my Facebook

followers were given this lesson plan bundle for free in exchange for looking the plans over with a critical eye and completing a survey asking about their thoughts about the content, pricing, etc. Here are some of their comments (permission was granted to use these testimonials):

“Once again, Elementary Library Mama has created some awesome materials on TPT. There is a variety of ideas that can be used with minimal preparation. She gives you materials that can be adapted to your preferences as needed.” – Sonya B.

“These plans match our district goals for a graduated media curriculum perfectly! They include descriptive lesson plans, high-quality teaching posters, and printable takeaway activities that encourage parents to review what students are learning in the media center. With so much to think about as a first-year elementary librarian, I'm so glad I found this set of plans!” – Ashley G.

“Each lesson is age appropriate. Great ideas for lessons on internet safety and using the online catalog. The posters are informative and colorful. The Exit slips provide a great assessment of some of the lessons to get to know the students’ needs.” – Sandra H.

“These lesson plans are a great deal. First, the price is a bargain. Second, they will save your time and your sanity! They are highly organized with everything you need included - posters, worksheets, exit tickets. If you don't have a book she recommends, you have alternatives. I love that she also includes digital citizenship in the lessons. Great idea! I think these lesson plans are wonderful!” - Elizabeth K.
