Description
These lesson plans are made for a 4 and 5 year old preschool Pre-K class. It includes 35 weeks of lesson plans, stretching from September to May. Included in each month is the scope and sequence for that month, templates for all printable materials needed, and the full lesson plans for each week. Each week includes THREE days of lesson plans, which includes a phonics, table work, music, math, story and reading, and a theme or writing lesson each day.
These lesson plans could be used in a classroom setting or a home setting. They were created to use with our 35 Week Curriculum Map. You do not need to purchase the curriculum map in order to successfully teach these lesson plans. You will be able to teach the full year with what is provided in these plans. However, it does provide valuable additional materials for planning and setting up a classroom if you will need to do that this year!
Because this is for year 2, the 4 year-old class, we have the students attend 3 days a week. However, the activities could be stretched out between additional days if that is what is best for your schedule. We have also listed a resource at the end of this that you can use for additional material and activities if you need it with our Parent PreK program.
We have used these exact activities and lessons in our own preschool for several years and have seen how it has very successfully prepared students to confidently enter kindergarten. We have a two year program, and these lessons are for the SECOND year where we work on more mastery of academic concepts. Be sure to look for YEAR 1, where we introduce these core topics.

If you want additional materials to teach to extend the days or teaching time with this same curriculum, you can find extension materials with our PARENT PREK YEAR 2 PROGRAM. This follows the same curriculum as these lesson plans, but with different activities, and can be used to only further learning and provide more hands on fun and experiences!
