Fathers Day Crafts Mother's Day Craft Kindergarten Fathers Day Card Templates

These two gardening themed craft activities are a fun way to celebrate parents on Mother's Day and Father's Day to show how much they are appreciated and loved! Both also include an editable blank craft template for students to give to their own significant carers and guardians in the parent role, because we all know it takes a village to raise a child.

• Step-by-step directions with photographs that can be printed out for a center, or projected onto a whiteboard - a great opportunity to develop listening skills and following directions
• all templates and instructions for running on construction paper. Templates could also be copied onto cardstock and traced around if needed.
• Flower pot Father's day craft: A pocket at the front of the card holds a seed packet (not included). Message says "Dad, Thanks for helping me grow". Includes a blank template with the message, "Thanks for helping me grow".
• Watering can mother's day craft: A pocket at the front of the card holds a seed packet (not included). Message says, "Without you, Mom, I could not blossom." Includes a blank template with the message, "Without you, I could not blossom"

Suggestions for use:

• Combine with a unit on seeds and plants and display alongside this simple flower life cycle activity.
• Make as a Mother's Day card and Father's Day card, and write a message on the back. Send home before each holiday,
• Leave as a center activity, along with the craft templates and directions and let students decorate their watering can and plant pots as they see fit
• Make in early April and display on a bulletin board with the title 'April Showers Bring May Flowers!" (see thumbnail #4 of the display we made) Please note, the heading letters DO NOT come with this craft.
