Figurative Language - Three/Four Part Cards

This PDF can be used to make a set of three/four part cards to teach figurative language. The types of figurative language are shown with a picture card, word card, control card (picture and word), and brief description card. Figurative language terms included are: idiom, simile, metaphor, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, personification, and alliteration.

Prior to classroom use: the set should be printed onto card stock, cut, and laminated.
