Description
This is the text for a successful grant I used to obtain foreign language books for our elementary school library to support the literacy growth of our students. The books are meant for the students' independent reading needs. Overwhelmingly, the research on English language learning emphasizes the importance of the native language. English language learners continuing to grow in their home language perform better, on average, than English learners instructed only in their second language when measuring English reading. Use this grant to build your own ELL library.
