What educators are saying

One of my favorite things to use with my students - they responded really well to it and it aligned perfectly with my standards!

Description

In this highly-engaging activity on the Great Depression, Market Crash, and the New Deal, students understand the causes of the Stock Market Crash of 1929, then investigate eight different impacts of the ensuing Great Depression through easy-to-use stations, a graphic organizer, and a final writing prompt!

Students come to learn the origins of the Stock Market Crash of 1929, the meaning behind the "Roaring '20s," the terms "Black Monday" and "Black Tuesday," the impact of the crash and the Best Depression on families, children, cities, governments, health, housing, farmers, and the media. Students are introduced to many hallmarks of the Great Depression, such as Hoovervilles, the New Deal, the Social Security program, the Civilian Conservation Corps, and the optimism of Franklin Roosevelt and his Fireside Chats.

This activity is included in my Roaring 20s, 1930s, Great Depression Bundle! 11 Resources for the 20s & 30s!

A final student prompt is included to showcase what students have learned and a full key is included!

A Google 1:1 compatible version is included in this product! Use in either a traditional setting or in the 1:1 environment!
