Description

Encourage caring and inspire your students to make a positive social impact with this “Houses of Hope Art Fundraiser" from Teach Kids Art! Students will gain a greater awareness of the needs of others and learn that they’re never too young to make a difference when they use their creativity and artistic skills to help those in need.

This 12-page pdf booklet begins with choosing a social cause your students can get excited about. Whether local (a child battling cancer in your town) or international (clean water for families in India), options for worthy causes abound! I’ll walk you through the steps to create charming house magnets with a lesson I’ve taught successfully across every grade level. This project is easy enough for Kindergarten (with a little help), yet it’s so fun and appealing that parents will be asking, “Can I make one, too?!” I’ll show you simple, inexpensive materials (and one “secret ingredient”!) that make it possible for most of your proceeds to go directly to your cause. And last, but not least, I’ll offer creative ways to get all your magnets sold. Create these charming magnets for your next fundraiser and watch your sales soar!

Not planning a fundraiser?? These house magnets also make great gifts for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day. You can also add the option of attaching a pin back for even more versatility!

Whether you’re planning a school-wide fundraiser, a service project for a small group, or some keepsake holiday gifts, these little magnets will have a big impact. Show your students how a little creativity can go a long way toward helping others and spreading joy!
