Important Book Template

This template is based of The Important Book written by Margaret Wise Brown.
Great activity to introduce organization and idea development in writing.
Perfect for beginning of the year to build community! Students interview and write about each other using the template for The Important Book.
After students write and illustrate, templates are compiled to make a class book for the class to enjoy all year.

A great way to incorporate writing in the content areas too! After a unit of study, students can each take a subtopic and write about its importance.

Resource includes choice of two covers, templates to hold a 4x6 photo (vertical or horizontal), a blank template for illustrations, interviewing questions for brainstorming, graphic organizer webs, content area template, and a comments page.
