What educators are saying

This was a great resource for a student to think about what happened and reflect on how they can better their behaviour to avoid a suspension outcome.

Description

I use these handouts for students that are serving In-School Suspension. They are given the first side to complete in the morning, soon after they arrive. This sheet is created based on the Restorative methodology where the student recognizes his/her responsibility in the situation but also works towards restoring and fixing the situation. I meet with each student and discuss the handout one-on-one.

The Exit Reflection, the back side, is done at the END of the day. Now that the day is over and we have discussed the first page we hope there is growth through reflection.

Both are kept in the student's In-School Suspension file.
