What educators are saying

It was a great activity to get the students working together and understand the concept of imports and exports between countries.

Description

To go along with Social Studies discussions about interdependence, exports, and imports, this game puts students in charge of their own countries. They must trade with other groups in order to obtain the supplies that they need to be a successful country. There are 8 supplies total that all countries need: fruit, meat, water, transportation, wood, books, clothing, and gasoline. This packet comes with the color cards to print, the coordinating worksheet that guides students through the game and asks follow-up questions, as well as complete instructions for set-up and play. This activity allows students to experience international trade and understand how difficult it can be to work out deals and trade with countries. It's always been a real hit with my classes!
