What educators are saying

My students really like when I use materials like this. The notes, slides, activities, and tests are all done so well. The student like that there are only a few lectures in each unit and mostly hands-on activities to engage in learning.

Description

In this stations activity on the Arab-Israeli War, Suez Crisis, 1948 War, Six Day War, Yom Kippur War, and Camp David Accords, students complete an engaging activity to learn about the complex relationship between Israel, Egypt, and others in the region. Students read station sheets detailing five major events between Israel and its neighbors in the Middle East: the 1948 Arab Israeli War, the Suez Crisis, the Six Day War, the Yom Kippur War (also known as the October War or the 1973 Arab Israeli War), and the Camp David Accords. Students are introduced to key individuals and groups such as the Arab League, Egyptian President Abdel Nasser, Anwar Sadat, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and United States President Jimmy Carter. Students also study relevant terminology such as Palestine, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the 1917 Balfour Declaration, the Suez Canal, Aswan Dam, Golan, and the Straights of Tiran. As students navigate each major event, students record information on a timeline organizer to understand the causes and results of each event.
