Description

Japanese Superstitions and Customs Reading

Did you ever wonder why whenever you visit your Japanese friends they throw a pinch of salt on their doorstep? Did you ever wonder why those same Japanese friends only started doing this after you gave them a lovely set of four pens? Well this reading will answer all of your questions and maybe save your friendship.
This is a fun reading that comes with comprehension exercises. It also contains a graphic organizer which your students can use to identify and discuss their own superstitions. It is always fun and surprising when I do this lesson, especially with a multiethnic group.
My wife teaches Japanese and I teach Language Arts and we both use this activity and both of our classes love it!
