I used this as a way to introduce the law of sines and cosines. My students found this activity helpful.
Description
Students apply the Law of Sines and Cosines by finding the distance or angles on the given map. Students draw triangles between 3 given cities. They then fill in given distances and/or angles between the cities and use the Law of Sines or Law of Cosines to solve for the missing angle or distance measure. I do this in groups depending on the level of the students.
