What educators are saying

This resource is very useful as extra practice with morphology. My students need the extra repetition and this resource gave me what I needed. Students can read the passage, circle the prefix or suffix we are working on and practice discovering word meaning. Excellent resource!
These have been great practice for my kids. I teach a prefix or suffix and then I have a ready made reading passage at my fingertips to read with them. I have been looking for a resource like this to use with my second graders. Well worth the money! Thank you!

Description

Help students master morphology with these prefix, suffix and word roots reading passages. A knowledge of affixes and their meanings is crucial for reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary and comprehension.

These reading passages are perfect for highlighting for students how each morpheme can be in a range of different words. Knowing how to spell and read affixes helps with spelling and reading whole words. Knowing what they mean helps with vocabulary and therefore comprehension.
