Description
We are an AVID school and I love doing philosophical chairs with my 3rd graders! I usually choose a semi-controversial topic (year round school, pets at school, uniforms in school, etc.). I find an article or book that explains information and valid opinions on the topic with evidence, the students annotate the article, then use the organizer to prepare for the debate.
