Description

This research project and rubric includes the following list and is meant to be used with technology. The project focuses more on what kind of discoveries these influential people made and the impact that said discoveries had on the past and present. This could be done individually or with a partner/small group. Students could present their research or have a gallery walk for others. If using Google, allow students to share their Slides with others for feedback and revisions. This could be used for any middle or high school grade. I used it with my 7th grade social studies students.

Included:

-Direction page for students
-Guided question: How did the Renaissance change Europe?
-A choice of 11 different influential people from the Renaissance
-Detailed rubric with the categories below for a total of 18 points
----Excellent (3 points), Adequate (2 points), Developing (1 points), Missing (0 points)
-A copy for both Google Slides and PowerPoint
-A small space for students to self-reflect on their project (i.e., what score they should receive)
