What educators are saying

Used this activity when talking about the unsung heroes of the Civil Rights movement that do not get mentioned much in US History anymore. A great activity that the students learned from.

Description

In this engaging resource on Ruby Bridges, school desegregation, and the Civil Rights Movement, students understand the courage and bravery of Ruby Bridges and the role she played (as a six-year-old girl) in the Civil Rights Movement in New Orleans. Students read a 1-page article of Ruby's experience, then answer several overarching analysis questions to show their understanding.
