What educators are saying

I printed this for my son who was struggling with not being right beside me at all times. He would cry and scream if I left and my husband would have to restrain him to keep him safe. This book helped him remember I was coming back.

Description

This is a social story targeting separation anxiety for children who experience fear and become upset/meltdown when apart from their Mother. The story is to read daily to the child. Instructions on how to read social stories are on the very first page. The goal of this story is to help the child begin the process of estalishing security/safety when Mom is away. It also has a visual/verbal script for the child to use and repeat when upset/anxious, "I'm okay". These can be cutout and placed near the child and around the areas where he/she plays. The last page of the story is a shortened, one page version of the story to be used in the car or when there is limited time.
