Description
This activity is designed to teach the skill “sequence of events”. This is best used to introduce the skill, use as a station, or as an intervention. There are many differentiated options and this activity can be used with grades 3-5, depending on your group.
Here is what the bundle includes:
Poster- defines sequence of events
Short step ordering- students cut out short sentences and order them
Multiple choice- in this activity, students are to determine which step happens first, and which happens last.
Fill in the blank- students are given either a first step ofc something, or the last step. Using sequencing clue words, they are to fill in the blank
Order the photos- there are 2 sets of picture cards for this activity. Students are to cut them out, order them, and then come of with sentences that proves they are in sequence.
Connect the story yourself- Here the students read a full page passage. They they need to sequence the events in the story by drawing a photo that goes along with the event, and adding a picture to go along with it. There are two different passages to choose from. Even use one as an assessment!
*Laminate and make into reusable mats or copy and use as worksheets. We use them both ways!
