What educators are saying

My students loved doing this! They talked a lot and laughed a little and it was quite entertaining AND meaningful!
My scholars were actively engaged in this learning activity! Everyone were interacting with each other and the lesson. Thank you for making it easier on me by doing the lesson plan and research!

Description

NO PREP classroom management strategy to teach your students about social contracts and how to create their own. After students learn what a social contract is and how they work in a classroom, they will then brainstorm independently before dividing into small group stations to draft their list. Finally, bring your students together as a whole class to write your agreed upon social contract.

Your students will:

1. Learn what a social contract is and its place in the classroom

2. Brainstorm what is most important to them when it comes to classroom culture and environment independently

3. Collaborate with their peers

4. Actively participate in setting classroom norms and expectations

5. Feel responsibility and accountability for their learning environment

What’s included:

✅ Google Slides presentation introducing the concept of a social contract

✅ Graphic organizer for brainstorming and collaborating with peers

✅ Social contract check-in sheet
