Speaking and Listening Rubric

This rubric is great for all classrooms that value student speaking/listening. I introduce this when we first begin collaborative discourse. We refer to it when using turn/talk, Socratic Seminars, Collaborative Discussions, and Active Listening.

This sets high expectations for student participation, meaningful classroom contributions, and active listening skills.

It is student friendly and basic enough for them to memorize their expectations and the skills they need for successful speaking and listening skills!
