Description

If you need to get your students writing creatively and want them engaged and inspired, then this is the writing craftivity for you! They will love writing about life as a Leprechaun or what they would do with a pot of gold, and you will get a kick out of their responses! The craftivity comes with scaffolding pages to make sure their writing is clear and organized. This activity is very low prep and looks great displayed! It's a perfect activity to leave for a sub, and the completed crafts make a festive and fun bulletin board display too!

This is the perfect low-prep activity for March in your classroom! This resource works great for 1st through 4th grade classrooms, but can also be used with Kindergarten, 5th and 6th grade as well.

Included in this download is a PDF of:

• Brainstorm Activities - This is to help your students work through their ideas for any of the 4 writing prompts provided. I find that using a brainstorm activity like this first helps students come up with much better and unique ideas!

• Practice Sentences - From the brainstorm I move to the practice sentences worksheet. This helps them go from one or two words to forming complete sentences with correct spelling and punctuation.

• Final Draft Writing Pages (both landscape and portrait page options) - includes the following prompts:

"If I Turned Into A Leprechaun"

"How to Catch A Leprechaun"

"If I Found A Pot of Gold"

"I Am Lucky Because..."

• Once their practice sentences look good they can transfer those sentences onto their final draft paper. I've included regular and primary lined paper to match your students' needs.

• Craft Toppers - Students get to choose which of the 6 toppers they would like to color and then cut out!
