What educators are saying

My students loved using this resource. The lessons and activities helped make a difficult topic more easily understood.
This is a great bundle of activities for stoichiometry. Lots of scaffolding and different ways to look at stoichiometry help meet my diverse student needs.

    Description

Simplify your stoichiometry lesson planning and engage your students with these supportive stoichiometry activities. Who knew stoichiometry could be so engaging?! Below you will find a wide range of print and digital resources from interactive notes, foldable and self-grading activities.

Listed in order below in terms of scope and sequence:

Stoichiometry Cut & Paste Introductory Activity - Print & Digital: scaffold the layout and the practice of stoichiometry following clear steps of dimensional analysis is emphasized throughout this activity.

Stoichiometry Foldable notes - Print & Digital A no-prep stoichiometry notes set, in print and digital format, that scaffolds, simplifies, and organizes the five different types of stoichiometric problems. Includes editable PPT and Google slide versions. Students will leave with a resource to use for many years!

Stoichiometry Foldable Bookmark - Stoichiometry, in mass and STP conditions, is broken down into easy-to-follow steps to help guide and assist calculations. With minimal assembly, this very useful foldable comes in three versions – filled-in, partially filled in, and color-coded to adapt for you and your students’ needs.

Particle Level Diagrams Stoichiometry Activity a no-prep particle diagram stoichiometry activity in print and digital Google Apps format, this particle diagram stoichiometry activity asks students to utilize mole ratios of balanced chemical equations. Given either the amount of reactant or product, students predict what the other half of the reaction would look like.

Stoichiometry Digital Task Cards for Google/Boom: Self-grading/self-correcting Boom cards or16 no-prep digital task cards as students experience fun and interactive practice of stoichiometry.

Stoichiometry Chalk Lab: Two versions of an easy-to-prep, fun editable stoichiometry lab with the precipitation of chalk lab and percent yield. Version 1: stoichiometry, where students are given one mass of reactant and asked to calculate the other. Version 2: students are given the masses of reactants and must determine which to use to calculate their theoretical yield in a limiting reactant problem.

Stoichiometry Active Whole Class Practice: a collaborative activity that breaks down stoichiometry into a step-by-step process that utilizes each student. “Answer one part and pass it along” - students answer one part of the problem set-up and then pass the paper to a classmate, check their previous classmate's work and provide help where needed. A check-off list of what to look for helps guide them in their process. Consider having answer keys printed and posted for the last student to check their work against - freeing you to help those who need it.

Stoichiometry Mazes - Print & Digital: engage students in stoichiometry practice self-monitoring practice in both digital & print formats. Differentiated! Two levels of stoichiometry practice are included so that you can adjust the level of challenge for your students - Great for review prior to gas or solution stoichiometry too!

Self-grading Print and Digital Pixelated Image Reveal over Stoichiometry calculations

Stoichiometry Practice Stations: offer students the opportunity to collaborate, practice, and apply these stoichiometric calculations with you nearby. Answers and work on the back allow them to check their work as they go, help each other & ask for help when needed, allowing you the time to help those who need it.

Stoichiometry Review Question Trail - Print, Digital & Editable: an active way to engage all of your students, getting them & practicing stoichiometric calculations with multiple-choice problems through a scavenger hunt trailblazing activity.

These Stoichiometry Bundle resources are set to a 20% discount!

Use mathematical representations to support the claim that atoms, and therefore mass, are conserved during a chemical reaction. Emphasis is on using mathematical ideas to communicate the proportional relationships between masses of atoms in the reactants and the products, and the translation of these relationships to the macroscopic scale using the mole as the conversion from the atomic to the macroscopic scale. Emphasis is on assessing students’ use of mathematical thinking and not on memorization and rote application of problem-solving techniques. Assessment does not include complex chemical reactions.
