Description
Geared towards the high school resource class, this is a lesson that focuses on teaching students how to use their email for self-advocacy but in a proper way. A variety of scenarios are presented and identifies stakeholders students should include in each instance. At the end of the lesson, students are asked to send an email to a class they are underperforming in or if they are passing everything, to practice copying/pasting a different email template.
This Slidedeck then can be posted in your Google Classroom so that students can access it when needed so that they can search for the appropriate template and use it to advocate for themselves. 11 templates are included!
This lesson can be adapted for a homeroom, AVID, or any class where you want to address the right way to use email for self-advocacy.
