In part 1 of this activity, students complete a video assignment where they learn the role that India, Pakistan, and China have had over the Kashmir region, the events that sparked the initial conflict, general events of the First and Second Indo-Pakistani War, the attempts for peace in the region, and how violence since the 1980s has heavily escalated. In part 2, students complete a primary source analysis activity related to Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the Kasmir region.
