What educators are saying
This was a good type of primary source that was easy for my 7th graders to understand. With a little bit of background information, students can do this pretty much on their own. Very easy assignment and it should only take up a small part of the class.
Description
In this primary source activity on the Zimmerman Telegram of World War I, students analyze the decoded telegram sent from Germany to Mexico in World War I (and that prompted the United States to enter World War I).
This supplement is a great fit in any World War I unit!
