What educators are saying

This was an AWESOME lab to help students 'see' and take part in the rock cycle. This was 100% engaging for students as they got to have a hands-on approaching to seeing how and why this process works!
What a great way for the students to learn about rocks. They even got to enjoy the candy at the end.

Description

Using a mini-size Snickers candy bar, students learn about the three types of rocks by simulating their formation. A great introductory activity for a Rocks & Soil unit!

A great hands-on way to introduce the three types of rocks and how each is formed! Requires only cheap and easy to find materials!

Enjoy!
