Description
This download includes 20 task cards with and without QR codes to use trigonometric identities.
Students must use trig identities to show that the left hand side of each equation equals the right hand side.
These task cards are good for beginners. There are two cards that require students to factor using the difference of squares, otherwise, there is no other factoring, adding/subtracting fractions, separating fractions or complex multiplying (FOIL type) involved.
The reciprocal, quotient and pythagorean identities are the only identities that are used.
When scanned, the QR codes will reveal which trig identities are needed to complete each task.
Task cards can be used at centers or stations, for entrance and exit tasks and for activities like scoot, expert groups, "speed dating", scavenger hunts or other similar activities. You can also print multiple sets and use as question cards with game boards.
Student recording sheet and hint key included. (The key shows which identities to use for each problem, but the work is not shown.)
