Description
This 300+ page resource is divided into 3 parts:
1. Getting Started with Unplugged Coding
2. Introduction to Unplugged Coding
3. Connecting to Other Mathematics Strands-Coding Lesson Plans
In Getting Started, you will become more comfortable with the three types of coding events that students learn and execute in Grades 1-3: Sequential, Concurrent, and Repeating. You will gain a greater understanding of how to take the expectations from paper to classroom activities.
Introduction to Coding is a series of lessons to help give your students some of the background information (in a series of interactive activities) that they need in order to become successful when coding.
Connecting to Other Math Strands will have you covering expectations in other mathematics strands/areas and coding concurrently (e.g., patterning).
Digital files (in Google Slides) is also included for some lessons.
