Visual Guide to NYC DOE Danielson 8 Rubric Components

This document is a visual, user-friendly guide to the Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching that can and should be used to further your understanding of highly effective instruction. I have created this specific version to include the 8 components that are used for the NYC’s Teacher Evaluation and Development System. This guide will be useful for both teachers and administrators at any level of experience and/or expertise.

School leaders will rate teachers for evaluative purposes on 8 components of the Framework:
