What educators are saying
Description
In this engaging World War II student project, student teams investigate and create a project focusing on life at home during World War 2. Students focus on Women at Work, Rationing and "Victory Gardens," Japanese Internment, Movies, TV, and Comics, and American Sports!
This resource is included in the Birth of American Culture (1950s and 1960s Culture) Unit, located here!
Each group receives a project overview paper that details the requirements, a helpful links sheet to guide research, and a detailed topic sheet that includes five overarching questions to guide the project's focus. Students create a 5-7 minute in-class presentation, a 1-page student handout that will be given to classmates, and even create 10 quiz questions that will be given to assess student knowledge following presentations (modified topic sheets have been included to omit the quiz requirement if you prefer students focus on just the project and handout).
This is included in a Google 1:1 version to make this project entirely digital!
