What educators are saying

I left this for a sub as I was out one day and the kids BEGGED me to work on more when I returned. To me that is pure gold and an indicator that this is a great writing activity! Great resource and well received by my 3rd graders! THANK YOU!

Description

Would you rather be the President of the United States or an astronaut traveling to space? This is one of 20 questions in this packet that students will have to answer and support using details. These prompts are extremely engaging for students, while they work on the skills they need to support their writing.

THIS IS THE SECOND EDITION! These prompts are different than the writing prompts included in Pack A.

On each of the pages is a writing prompt, space for students to write, as well as a color coding activity that asks students to underline the topic sentence in blue, their three details in yellow, and their concluding sentence in blue. This helps students understand the pieces of a good paragraph, and is a way for students to check to make sure that they actually included these pieces in their response.

You can print this as a packet for students, or as individual pages. It's great for morning work, for centers, for writing instruction, or for homework!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Teaching!
