Readers' Theater - The Wisdom of Shirley Chisholm
This Readers' Theaters teaches students about Shirley Chisholm, the first African American woman to serve in Congress and to run for president, by integrating actual quotes by and about her. Her life was a testament to compassion, wisdom, and the strength needed to fight for what is right. This would be a great activity to implement during either Black History Month or Women's History Month.

A Reader's Theater about the protests lead by Alice Paul in front of the White House in 1917. This is great for any middle school teacher teaching about protests, civil rights, or women's suffrage.
