Tea Time
This project investigates the history of an English Tea, why European recipes measure ingredients by weight rather than volume, and why the US uses cups for both liquid and dry ingredients. There are two recipes included: scones and quiche. There are also directions for weaving a placemat and suggestions for customizing napkins. There is a simple science experiment investigating the affect of temperature on sugar absorption.

Your kids will automatically DO STEAM science as they sprout and grow bean plants from seeds. They observe, measure, and record plant changes every few days in their Nature Journal. Watch your kids discover what plants need to survive, recognize the need to isolate variables, and consider where to ultimately grow their plants to produce more bean babies.
