APA 7th edition Referencing Checklist for Students

As many of you know, teaching young people... or anyone for that matter how to reference at a university level and style is difficult.

I have created a very simplified checklist for the latest edition of APA referencing (7th) that I use for my students from years 8 through to 12.

Of course this is simplified, it doesn't cover all the details and specifics for different modes (podcasts etc). But it's a great stepping stone and an easy referencing checklist for them to follow.

The most common mistakes my students make are: not starting the reference list on a new page, not listing the sources in alphabetical order and a magnitude of mistakes with the in-text part! This easy to follow document helps address a few of those.
