6 years teaching - University trained in Health and Physical Education Humanities Inclusive Education - Supporting students with disabilities, learning difficulties and social emotional disorders. Head of Diverse Learning I teach in a Catholic School
I definitely teach in a more facilitator or activity-based style. Encouraging self-learning in the classroom beyond just the curriculum. I prompt and guide students to be critical consumers of information, encouraging them to develop their own thoughts and opinions. I find in this style, activities are used to promote self-discovery and develop problem-solving skills, which can often lead to the student developing a much deeper understanding of the topic. Activities range from teacher-directed learning, student research, group projects and presentations, visual presentations, e-learning and interactive classrooms I believe I excel in differentiation for my students, taking time to know them and how they learn.
