TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught for 8 years at an all-girls private school in Louisville, Kentucky. We are consistently ranked one of the best schools in the state and in the country. During my teaching career, I've taught IB English: Literature HL, British literature, world literature, yearbook, and more! I've taught all levels of English in grades 9-12. I've also been an ACT tutor for 12 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am organized and consistent above all else! I like my handouts and lessons to be visually pleasing, concise, and easy to follow.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I earned a perfect 36 on the English section of the ACT. I have been published in the Kentucky English Bulletin. During my time as advisor, my school's yearbook (The Angeline) has been named best yearbook in the state of Kentucky three different years (2019, 2020, 2022). We've also be recognized nationally by Balfour Publishing as one of the top yearbooks in the country.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the honors college at Western Kentucky University. I also studied abroad at Harlaxton College in England. I have a B.A. in English for Secondary Teachers.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was a swim coach for 6 years, I play tennis, and I have a passion for photography.
