TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am about to start my 6th year of teaching. All 6 years have been completed in San Antonio, TX so my products are geared more towards the TEKS than common core, although Math is Math! I have taught 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade, GT Algebra 1, and then Intervention classes as well. I love the middle school level and can't picture myself teaching any other grade level.

I graduated from the Judson District, spent 2 years at San Antonio College to stay in town, and then commuted to Texas State University to complete my degree in 4-8 Math. I was a true school and math nerd.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When we were instructed to display Word Walls in our classrooms 5 years ago, I began making them for myself as an excuse to do something artsy. As I switched grade levels, I added more words until I ended up with an almost perfect comprehensive middle school math word wall set. Now I am branching out to other grade levels and maybe one day, other subjects.
