♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ My hopes are that you find relevant and affordable resources in my store - created during my years of teaching chorus, voice and elementary music. Years of experience: 8.5 years Elementary Music, 18 years Middle School Chorus, 2 years High School Chorus, 1 year College Private Voice, and 8 years Adjunct Private Voice (2016-current)
Enthusiasm for singing and striving for excellence drive my teaching style. I believe in setting students up for success by engaging them and teaching them in manageable bites. Some time into my middle school career, I found that instead of saying the same thing over and over six periods a day, I became more effective by saying what I wanted to say on paper and created a worksheet or an engaging Power Point presentation. Students truly do learn by hearing, seeing and writing. The writing component is what has driven a lot of my original work.

I feel my successes are tied to sharing the joy of singing, a strong vocal pedagogy foundation, attention to details and follow-through reinforcement. I feel very blessed for the teaching opportunities I have enjoyed. I moved from Virginia to Florida after teaching in Stafford County, Virginia for 23 years. In Stafford, my last position was the Choral Director at Rodney Thompson. I was the first chorus teacher when the school opened in 2000 and taught there for 14 years. I was the Choir Director at Hope Presbyterian Church (formerly Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church), and maintained a small private voice studio. ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ Thanks for taking the time to visit my store, and choosing Teachers Pay Teachers!
