Holmes Middle School Math Teacher 2012-Present Office of Student Minority Affairs Spring 2012-Fall 2012
I believe that the key to student achievement in the field of mathematics is to engage them. My hope is that the games I provide here will engage your students as much as they do mine. In addition to playing games, I also believe that creating a student centered classroom helps students stay on task and enjoy mathematics. In my own classroom, I utilize the problem based method style of instruction often. In this type of instruction my students are active rather than passive learners. Rather than having me directly instruct students, students are engaged exploring different types of problems through group work and technology. In the future, I will look to upload these different engaging activities here.
Helping students to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.

Despite being a middle school teacher, I have much experience working with high school level content. At my school I have three preps. These preps include teaching a "regular" level track that follow the 8th grade common core standards, an honors Algebra 1 class, and a high honors Algebra 2 class. In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy relaxing at home with our new born daughter and golden retriever :)
