I began my education journey with an informal education internship at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. I taught about animals, conservation and other science concepts, while also learning a lot about zoos and having a lot of wonderful experiences! Afterwards, I subbed in several different school districts. Then, I got a job teaching middle school at private school in Ohio. Over my time there, I taught several subjects including: 6-8th grade science, 7th grade social studies, 6-8th grade Spanish and 8th grade Bible. Then, I moved to North Carolina where I have taught various subjects such as Earth Science, Physical Science, World History and Computer Keyboarding.
I am a strong believer in experiential learning. The students enjoy doing hands on activities and they learn so much from experiencing the activities. Students also love having fun, which I definitely encourage in our classes as we play games related to the content. My goal is that the students learn while having fun. I also love to travel, (which is very much reflective in my products!). I am inspired by all the amazing places that we can explore on earth, so I love teaching about places that I can show pictures and tell stories about.

I began as a Spanish Education major, hoping to master the language and teach it in a high school. As I went through my classes, I realized that I really loved the culture, countries and people more than the actual language itself. So, I ended up changing my major to teach middle school and to include social studies and (my favorite!) science. I ended up with a bachelors in middle education with concentrations in science and social studies. I also got a minor in Bible and (because of the classes I originally took) Spanish.
