This is my 8th year teaching Special Education. I began teaching Resource in 2010. The following year, I was offered a position to pilot an Autism Special Day Class in our district. As Autism is my passion, I quickly jumped at the chance and worked side by side with our behaviorist, occupational therapist, and colleagues from the local university to set up a functional classroom for students on the Autism spectrum.
ABA based and designed to meet the needs of my students. My classroom is based on a center model where each students needs are individually met through carefully chosen curriculum. I use a lot of Edmark and Touch Math in the classroom.

I studied Liberal Studies at CSU, Chico. I later enrolled in a partnership between WCCUSD and CSU, East Bay where I earned a Multiple Subject credential. I was a victim of the pink slip era, and had always wanted to teach for 5 years then get my Special Education credential. I soon decided there was no time like to present and enrolled in a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist program at Brandman University.
