By From room 123 I am the daughter of two teachers who is married to the son of two teachers. This is my twenty-third year in middle school and my husband's nineteenth in elementary school. I spent my first 16 years as a cross-categorical resource teacher in ELA, math, science, social studies and computer education. For the past 6 years I've taught ELA, math and social studies. I've also been regular education inclusion teacher for ELL and EC. My husband and I have two amazing children.
As a former resource teacher, I cannot help but adjust my teaching style as I go through a lesson. Just because it worked one way with one class, doesn't mean it will work the same for another group of students. I like to scaffold lessons and use visuals as I teach.
