I believe in student centered discovery learning. I focus my energy on sharing my passion for history and learning with my student's each and every day. By helping students to reach the deepest levels of learning, organizing information, and using their metacognition I believe my students build skills and gain knowledge that can change their academic careers and maximize their potential.
I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of reading and writing strategies. I have written World History, European History, and United States History curriculum for two school districts while teaching diverse special education populations, mainstream students, A.P and Honors level students from the Midwest and Western United States. I graduated from College with Honors and I am currently working on a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado.
Social Studies and History Major, Education and Anthropology Minor; Educational Leadership. My expertise in World History includes more than education in the classroom. I have traveled to over 50 countries on 5 Continents. Many of my lessons pull from this expertise, historical documentation, video and personal photographs. I believe my materials bring a unique opportunity to the classroom that is unlike any other.
