TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school Social Studies since 2005. For the first five years of my career, I taught Social Studies to ELL students. As the only ELL Social Studies teacher in my school, I taught all four core Social Studies subjects in the Georgia high school curriculum. For the past 4 years I have taught American Government, Economics and World History in a Title I school. The challenges of teaching in these circumstances have enabled me to develop lessons and activities which are simple, easy to read, and rich in pictures, maps, charts, video clips and other visuals.
