Sarah has over 10 years formal education in Japanese, beginning when she was a Year 6 student in primary school and culminating in a one year scholarship to Himeji Dokkyo University in Japan. From a young age she has had the pleasure of hosting both short-term and long-term Japanese students in her home, and has visited Japan many times; such experiences have shown Sarah the true value of cross-cultural exchange. Sarah has dedicated her working life to promoting Japanese language and culture; first as a Japanese teacher with experience delivering the Japanese curriculum to students from Year 7 to 12 and then as a Homestay Program Manager for a Japanese exchange organisation.
